About Us

The Blooms on 7 Mission

Blooms on 7 is not your typical flower farm!

We are the only flower farm in Western Canada to grow over 100 varieties of cut flowers and offer small-group alpaca experiences. We invite our community to experience the natural beauty our farm has to offer through unique and authentic hands-on experiences. We run on farm workshops and educational classes, operate a flower u-pick, offer alpaca experiences and rental opportunities for photographers.

We can’t wait to share our space with you!

Our Roots

Blooms on 7 was started by Brianna Sims in the spring of 2021. Like many of us in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic Brianna began to really consider her vision for her own future, her family’s future and her passion for growing flowers. Having recently welcomed their daughter Margo, Brianna and her husband Tim knew they wanted to raise their children on a farm– as growing up on farms had been formative to their own experiences. After relentlessly searching the market, the family finally came across their dream property and settled in by November 2020. Brianna originally intended to grow flowers to sell wholesale but quickly realised how much her life would be enriched by offering the farm and its flowers to the public.

Over the last few years and on this little 7-acre parcel Blooms on 7 has grown into the unique little farm it is today. The business has now evolved into an experience that is enjoyed by our family, our friends, our neighbours, our community and of course our loyal customers!

Our Approach

We grow flowers that thrive in Alberta’s climate, focusing on what’s in season while trialing crops that can handle changing weather patterns. We avoid the use of pesticides and herbicides and instead prioritise soil health and biodiversity. When you visit or shop with us, you’re supporting a women owned farm that values nature’s timing and commits to sustainable agricultural and business practices.

We are a proud women run business.

We are farmers, creatives, aunties, designers, care givers, educators, sisters, animal lovers, entrepreneurs, daughters, environmentalists and mothers. Our farm succeeds because we celebrate and make space for everybody.

Education is a huge part of what we do

Whether you're trying a new skill like botanical dying or learning about small-scale, sustainable agriculture while enjoying the flowers, we guarantee you'll learn something new.

We prioritize sustainable growing practices.

We incorporate alpaca by-products into our soil by using their bedding and fibre as mulch and manure as fertilizer. We avoid harmful pesticides, focusing on soil health, natural pest control, and biodiversity to grow our flowers as naturally as possible.

Our Offerings

From a pottery workshop to date nights our calendar is packed with fun hands-on experiences from May to November. Try your hand at botanical dyeing, take some time out of your day to enjoy yoga with our alpaca herd or get a start on seasonal festivities and craft a holiday wreath. Planning your visit should be as joyful as the farm itself! Our website makes it simple to browse upcoming workshops and events, check availability and reserve your spot in just a few clicks.

Workshops

At Blooms on 7, we offer creative workshops you won't find anywhere else. We keep our classes small so that we provide our guests with an intimate, hands-on experience.

“My friend and I go every year to celebrate our birthdays. It is a lot of fun and the flower selection is just stunning. Such a great place to go make a great bouquet”
